Elvis Presley once fired his gun at his Pantera when it wouldn’t start. This is also the type of car that hockey player Tim Horton died in. Made in Italy but underneath the hood everything is Ford.

Studebaker produced less than 7000 Avantis in 1962 and 1963. After bankruptcy the Avanti Motor Corporation was born. They produced the car at first from left over Studebaker parts, then later Chevy and Ford.
This picture is of the last Avanti made in 2007.

Golden Hawk advertisement.
The Golden Hawk was the evolution of the early 1950s Studebaker Champion. It was the top of the line model in the Hawk series. A bad economy in 1958 led to only around 900 being sold and it was discontinued.
